Many businesses use Ads. This isn’t my opinion. It’s a fact.
The reason why this may not be so obvious is because Ads are treated as the “dirty little secret” for many businesses. Founders love to boast how much their revenue has grown and never fail to mention, “and we did it all with no marketing budget!” Barf.
It really gets my goat because it fosters a false narrative that rapid, organic growth is happening everywhere– and that ads are yucky and not necessary. That couldn’t be further from the truth.
As I always say: “There are only 3 ways to grow your audience online”
Paid Ads
Leveraging other people’s (or company’s) audiences
and SEO
Within each of these points; there are countless options and tactics for exactly how to leverage them– but there are only three.
Both SEO and OPA (other people’s audiences) are long-term strategies. Both usually grow slowly and are a constant grind to maintain. While it is possible to experience incredible growth through partnerships or influencers programs, I want you to understand that those too can be extremely costly (especially those that are worthwhile).
But Ads are the golden bullet.
Why?
Because they are a quick, targeted, and highly measurable way to get more customers.
Today I wanted to share some of my experiences managing a $1.2M ad program. You may be surprised to learn that an endless budget doesn’t solve everything– but it sure does help a lot. I also share exactly what you should be doing now if you don’t plan on using Ads to grow your business.
