December. It’s crazy. It’s cold (or too hot… if you’re in Miami like us). We are stressed. We are strapped for cash. There seems to be a million things to do. So I’m here to tell you that it’s okay to give up… a little bit.
Around this time, I’m sure you’re busily working on budgets, planning Christmas parties, arranging client gifts, trying to make it and be fully present for all of the family activities. And while it’s important not to loose sight of the big picture, it’s also vital to take a break when needed, a mental vacation if you will.
Being fully present is a topic on the minds of many business owners and entrepreneurs, but also basically everyone that works. We have big goals, plans and dreams. But there must be a time when we allow ourselves to detach from the business of our minds and feel truly at peace.
This is why we adore having our time and goals organized for 2019 early. This give us the opportunity to really switch off during the next few weeks. By the way, we’ll be hosting another LIVE Webinar of December 19th to help get you organized.
That said, once you’ve gotten all your ducks in a row I implore you to really take time to unplug. Even at your desk or in the office. Leave time in your schedule to get those nails done. Schedule that massage (I mean, there are so many great deals out there these weeks). And create time to snuggle up on the couch and watch Christmas movies before bed. With hot coco (or a giant glass of wine… whatever floats your boat).
On the Podcast this week, we are doing something a little different. I’ve let our dear Eunice take her time off to rejuvenate and I’m here sharing the ways that I avoid burn out juggling a few businesses and a few kids. Enjoy!
Remember, you have the power to change the world.
With Gratitude.
